"I have lived on the beach for 30+ years. I started out in the construction business as a carpenter, five years later, I was fortunate enough to obtain a position as assistant Building Inspector for Carolina Beach where over the next 9 years I performed duties such as Building Inspections, Flood Plain Manager (FEMA), CAMA Officer and Minimum Housing Inspector.
"After leaving the Town for a position with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors as an Investigator, a position held for the last 14 years, I knew that I wanted to continue serving my community as a Councilman. So, at the next availability, I ran for office and have served on Town Council for the last 12 years. I believe in “public service” and I have spent the last 21 years of life exercising that belief, serving Carolina Beach in the best way that I know how."
